Description

91 Place is a transitional housing program on the near-east side of Indianapolis serving youth ages 18-24 facing homelessness. We are a home with community, relationships, and a familial environment at its core, and we aim to be a safe place for unhoused youth to live, grow, and thrive.

91 Place uses an innovative, holistic approach to disrupting generational poverty and chronic homelessness by providing early intervention for youth approaching adulthood who are experiencing housing instability. We currently operate three transitional homes in Indianapolis. House mentors live alongside the youth creating an environment of safety, growth, and encouragement and provide individualized and necessary life-skills training.

In addition to transitional housing, 91 Place provides mental health supports for our residents and the community at our therapy center, Near Eastside Counseling. We own and operate Neidhammer Coffee Co. as part of our workforce development program. The youth participate in an ongoing workforce development curriculum and learn and practice employability skills in a safe, supportive environment.
