Description
The Julian Center is an organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of abuse. They provide a wide range of services including emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups. The center’s mission is to empower survivors, promote safety and healing, and work toward ending the cycle of abuse in the community.
The Julian Center was founded in 1975 to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence throughout Indiana and empower them to recover and build a life for themselves and their families absent of abuse. Over the past 49 years, The Julian Center has transformed from a simple referral service into a nationally recognized agency known for providing services outside the emergency shelter. The Julian Center is the largest domestic violence shelter in Indiana, providing 1,795 survivors with services last year alone. Our agency’s mission is to help victims of domestic abuse become survivors through supportive services, education, and cooperative partnerships that foster hope, promote self-sufficiency, and rebuilds lives.
