The Injury Prevention program at IU Health Methodist Hospital provides education and services to the community around fall prevention for older adults, traffic safety and crash prevention, and violence prevention and intervention. Staple programs include Stop the Bleed and Mental Health First Aid. The injury prevention program houses the Hospital’s Violence Intervention Program – a program for those injured by gun violence. Additionally, the injury prevention program can speak to teens about safe driving, speak to older adults about fall prevention, and educate expecting parents around car seat safety.
