James Russell Lowell School 51: A Montessori School, located in the heart of the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood. Here, we provide a safe, multi-age learning environment that encourages students and staff alike to achieve their fullest potential. Using Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy and teaching methods, our mission is to cultivate a love for learning, teach peace, and respect individual differences and learning styles in every child.

Beyond academics, our school is an energetic hub of activity, encouraging students to explore their interests through clubs like chess, Scouts, karate, yoga, and IPS Athletics. We also provide additional resources such as a Family Food Pantry to support our students and community.
