Juvenile Services works with youth arrested prior to the age of 18, the community, and juvenile system partners to prevent additional crimes and promote public safety and safe communities. This is accomplished through evidence-based programs that reduce repeat offenses and promote positive lifestyles among the youth and families we serve.

Since 2006, the Marion Superior Court has been a part of the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI), sponsored by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. JDAI efforts work to keep youth out of jail by encouraging them to participate in community programs. These programs give better treatment results while keeping the community safe.
